Which are the risks that cause concern for companies? Workshops that bring together more than 30 experts
In the framework of the Risk Observatory for companies in Spain, Institut Cerdà, organised four work sessions in June to discuss the risks companies face in four areas: resources, economics, social issues and the environment.
More than 30 experts from leading companies, business schools and institutions participated in the sessions.
In the session dedicated to resources, issues addressed included the commodities crisis in relation to food, raw materials, industrial products and also what is happening in global supply routes and the impacts this has on services and basic products.
In the session dedicated to economics, the experts discussed public debt, the potential to attract investment in Spain, the most vulnerable economic sectors, price instability and the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The discussions on social issues, included how the economic situation affects cohesion and social inequality, how the increase in social inequality affects companies, price instability and the CPI, and also social aspects of the labour market (salaries, competitiveness, etc.).
In the last session, dedicated to the environmental, the debate focused on how climate change, meteorological phenomena, people’s health (post-COVID), and other environmental factors affect and concern companies.
The conclusions of these sessions will be included in the 2nd report of the Risk Observatory for companies in Spain, which will be presented early in 2023.
