The Repsol Foundation, in the framework of its Chair of Energy Transition at the University of Barcelona, has presented the results of the Observatory on CO2 capture, use and storage, focused on nature-based solutions (NBS), in the context of the fight against global warming.
The results of the Observatory were presented by Mariano Marzo, Director of the Repsol Foundation Chair of Energy Transition at the University of Barcelona, and Cristina Arauz, Director of Innovation at Institut Cerdá. They have analysed the general theoretical framework, and the growing prominence, of nature-based solutions, also called natural climate solutions (NCS).
The event, broadcast via streaming, was attended by Josu Jon Imaz, CEO of Repsol; Luis Cabra, General Director of Technological Development, Resources and Sustainability of Repsol; António Calçada, General Director of the Repsol Foundation and Carlos Cabrera, Institut Cerdà’s Director General. María Mendiluce, CEO of the We Mean Business Coalition and Valvanera Ulargui, General Director of the Spanish Office for Climate Change, also participated in the presentation.
