Institut Cerdà presents the first study on employability in Spain
- The study, presented in Barcelona at the Circle of Economy. It highlights that 6 billion euros are invested in active employment policies in Spain, analyses the efficiency of these investments and highlights the lack of transparency of the data provided by public administrations.
- The study is the first step towards the creation of an ‘Observatory on Employability in Spain’ and has been sponsored by Jordi Mercader, a businessman and former president of the INI.
The first study on Employability in Spain was presented In Barcelona at the Circle of Economy. Jordi Mercader announced a civil society driven initiative for the creation of an “Observatory of the efficiency of active policies and instruments for employment development in the Autonomous Communities of Spain”. The initial report presented calculates the sum of public investment of all autonomous communities in Spain in employment policies at 6 billion euros. It analyses the availability and quality of the information available about these policies, making good practise available to the various social agents to facilitate the improvement of efficiency and accountability.
